Youth gets life term for abducting, raping minor girl

A fast track court here today sentenced a man to life imprisonment while five-year jail term to two others for adducting and raping a 14-year-old girl.

Judge Rajesh Bharduwaj sentenced Shahnazer to life imprisonment for abducting and raping the minor girl. He was also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000.

The court also sentenced the two accused Shabab and Chand Bibi to five years in prison after they were found guilty of abducting the teenager.

They were also slapped a fine of Rs 2,000 each.

The court also directed the accused to pay Rs 15,000 as compensation to the victim.
 

According to public prosecutor Sitaram Arye, the minor girl was allegedly abducted and raped at Jansath in the district on July 7, 2006.
