An 18-year-old youth from Kalyan near here was arrested today for allegedly molesting an old woman at her house, police said.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Wednesday when the woman, aged around 100 years, was alone at her house and sleeping in Galegaon village and the accused, who resided in the same neighbourhood, suddendly barged into the room and tried to disrobe her, Kalyan taluka Police Station V R Andale, said.
The youth, identified as Akshay Borade, was held today from the village and booked an offence under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 451 (house-trespass).
