A 21-year-old youth was arrested today for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl of his neighbour in Kottada village in Krishna district, police said.
"The girl, a student of class IX, was resting at home yesterday as she was feeling unwell while her parents were away. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused identified as P. Sathyanarayana raped her," Kykaluru (Rural) police station sub-inspector K. Yesubabu said quoting from the complaint lodged by the victim.
Police has registered a case of rape against Sathyanarayana.
