A youth was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl living in his neighbourhood in the city.
Vipin Mishra, who lived near the house of the 15-year-old victim at police quarters in Jahangirabad locality, took her away on some pretext yesterday and raped her, police said today.
The victim's father and that of the accused work in the police department.
On returning home, the girl informed her parents about the incident following which they lodged a complaint with the Jahangirabad police.
Police arrested Vipin and booked him under charges of rape and abduction.
