In a brazen act, an 18-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped today by a youth who ran his car over her mother when she tried to intervene in Amarhari village near here.
The woman was rushed to PGI Hospital at Rohtak in a critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries, police said.
Anil went to the house of the girl and dragged her into his car, they said.
When the girl's mother tried to resist, the 23-year-old youth ran his car over her and fled with the daughter.
Police have registered a case of murder and kidnapping against Anil and launched a manhunt.
The car used in the crime was later recovered from Ashri Gate area of the city, poloce said.
