Long standing enmity between two families claimed the life of an 18-year-old youth in central Delhi's Anand Parbat area when he was stabbed to death by four persons in the wee hours here today.

Two men, identified as Satish and Pradip have been arrested in this connection while two others are still absconding.

"The incident took place around 1 am today when the victim, identified as Sagar, a resident of Punjabi Basti, Anand Parbat, was waylaid by the group and following an argument stabbed him," said a senior police official.

Around 1:30 am, a patrolling staff of PCR van spotted a man lying in a blood pool on the road. On being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.

Investigations revealed that Sagar's family had been at loggerheads with their neighbours and they have filed FIRs against each other.

"When Satish and Pradeep, who are Sagar's neighbours, were picked up for questioning, they confessed to having committed the crime to settle scores with him," the official said.

A case of murder has been registered at the Anand Parbat Police Station and both of them have been arrested. Efforts are on to nab the remaining two, he added.
