Youth paint the town red on Valentine's Day

Soaked in the spirit of love, hundreds of youths today thronged decked-up malls, clubs multiplexes and markets to celebrate the Valentine's Day in the city with a pleasant weather adding to the atmosphere.

Red was the running theme of the day as several malls and restaurants decorated their premises with coloured balloons, heart-shaped lighting and red roses to woo couples.

The weather played perfectly in the background as Delhiites experienced a warm day with the sun shining brightly throughout the day.

Young and old couples, and married and single ones visited parks to soak up the sun and dined out at eateries to enjoy the day as many restaurant offered themed cuisine for the occasion.
 

Popular hangout zones dressed up in red colour beckoned both the young and old, who exchanged gifts and roses to mark the day.

Heart-shaped flowers, and red and pink balloons were also seen festooned at coffee houses and dining out places in areas like Connaught Places, Khan Market, Select City Walk, Hauz Khas Village and Rajouri Garden.

According to police sources, no major protest was reported from any part of the national capital and the day passed off peacefully.

E-commerce majors, fast food chains, restaurants, spas and salons also offered special discounts on the occasion, especially for couples.
