A youth, who had shot dead an alleged sex worker as she was an obstacle in his love life with another sex worker, was today sent to seven days' police custody by a Delhi court.
Metropolitan Magistrate Namrita Aggarwal remanded accused Munshi Ram, 25, to Delhi Police custody till March 4 for taking him to Saharsa in Bihar to find out source of the weapon used in the crime.
Police sought Ram's custody saying he had bought a country-made pistol from Bihar to kill the deceased woman whom he shot twice last night near Sarai Kale Khan close to the busy Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and a PCR van.

According to the police, Ram killed 25-year-old Pooja as she was against his relationship with another woman who was also working under her as an alleged sex worker.
As Pooja was not allowing that woman to marry Munshi and go with him, he went to Bihar and bought a pistol and nine bullets to eliminate the victim, it said.
It said the accused was looking for an opportunity to kill the victim, a resident of Bhajanpura in North East Delhi, since morning.
Police also told the court that seven bullets have been recovered from him and they require his custody to know the source from where he bought the weapon.
He has been booked under section 302 (murder) of the IPC and provisions of the Arms Act.
The accused was apprehended by some passers-by when he was trying to escape and handed over to police.
