Youth shoots himself dead with father's pistol

An Armyman's son allegedly shot himself dead at his house in the Cantonment area here, police said today.

Ashish (19), who was pursuing his graduation, shot himself with his father Vikram Singh's licensed pistol yesterday. He was alone in the house at the time of the incident, they said.

The boy was rushed to the Command hospital, where he was declared brought dead, police said, adding the body has been sent for postmortem.

Police is probing the matter.
