Suresh Kumar allegedly fired at his brother-in-law Balbir Singh with an unlicensed pistol after a heated exchange of words in Sarwal belt of Jammu city this morning, a police officer said.
Balbir received a bullet wound in his right shoulder and has been hosptitalised, he said.
A case has been registered.
Suresh was arrested along with the pistol, the officer said, adding that the motive is being investigated.
