Youth should come forward and take part in politics: Naqvi

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today called upon youths to come forward and take part in politics.

Youths should forward and take part in politics as it is vital for the reformation of politics and society at large, Union Minister of state for Minority Affairs said.

He claimed that the voting percentage in elections has been increasing as many new youths are getting enrolled in voters list and voting.

"Although political parties agree and disagree on various issues but when it comes to addressing issues related to national concern or integrity, the parliamentarians unite for the development of the Nation," he said while speaking at the Amity Youth Fest here.
 

Governor of Punjab and Haryana said Kaptan Singh Solanki said "before joining politics, I was a professor for 34 years and the reason I joined Politics was to address the issues faced by society and to bring a change in the Political system.

"It is important to make politics a service profession rather than a making business out of it."

"Youth is the answer of all problems prevailing in India, hence, theyneed to take charge of the leadership with good education and training if they want radical change in the country," said Solanki.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit speaking on the occasion said "Parliament is the most important set up in India and is the best in the world. We should be proud of it."

"Parliament is an institution where problems are discussed, solutions are suggested and subsequently, acts are formulated which are strategically applied across nation.

"Indian Parliament has bonded the nation together," she added.
