All six of the squad will be making their international youth debut at the tournament from October 18 to 21.
"More than 16 teams are expected to participate in this event. We are expecting at least two medals from this promising lot," said the team's coach G Manoharan before the team's departure.
The World Youth Championships are scheduled to be held in Yerevan, Armenia from November 25.
