A youth was trampled to death after a group of people fell on him while trying to get into a studio for the audio release function of a Telugu film at Manikonda here this evening.
The incident occurred at around 7 pm when scores of people were standing in a queue to get in the studio for audio release of 'Baadshah', starring Junior NTR, police said.
As a large number of passes were issued, many fans of the actor had gathered and suddenly tried to enter the ground when a few of them slipped and fell on one Raj, who got injured and later died, police said.
The organisers said that the youth died of breathing problem.
A case will be registered in this regard after investigation, Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) T Yoganand told PTI.
Meanwhile, the audio release function continued despite the incident.
