A large number of Delhi youths, who are considered apathetic to politics, joined the celebrations along with Aam Aadmi Party supporters after the nascent party's impressive showing in the assembly elections.
Many youngsters gathered outside the counting centres in various constituencies as indications poured in of a major success for the Arvind Kejriwal-led party. It won 28 of 70 seats in the national capital.
"Arvind Kejriwal has infused hope among youths, bringing in a mini-revolution. His win is Aam Aadmi's (common man's) win," Ravi Lalwani, a post-graduation student, said outside the counting centre at N P Bengali Girl's Senior Secondary School in the New Delhi constituency, where Kejriwal defeated Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
