Rehman allegedly fired five rounds in air with his licensed revolver during the celebrations organised at the party office, they said.
Jubilee Hills Police, who immediately took custody of Rehman, have booked him under the Arms Act and under Section 336 of IPC (for endangering life or personal safety of others).
He was later produced before a court that sent him in judicial remand.
