YSRCP Deputy floor leader Sobha Nagi Reddy said the state has been very ruthless on consumers and the common man will have to bear a burden of Rs 32,000 crore during the three years of Congress rule, if the fresh proposal is accepted.

"We demand the government to reconsider the proposal of increasing power charges after April, which will burden the consumers by Rs 12,723 crore. Such anti-people decisions will evoke strong anger from all sections of the society and will spell a death knell to the party at the hustings," Reddy said in a press conference.

She further criticised that the state road transport body has increased fares keeping in view the demand on the eve of festival.
