YSR Congress Party members met Governor ESL Narasimhan today and urged widening of a probe into the arrest of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA for allegedly trying to bribe a nominated MLA in connection with Telangana Legislative Council elections.
"It is also equally important to nail the actual perpetrator of this crime and to widen the scope of the investigation to include TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, who also happens to be Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister," YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy said in a memorandum submitted to the Governor.
"We request you to intervene and direct the concerned officials to carry out the investigation and bring the actual culprits to book as well as include the TDP president's name as the main instigator of the crime," the YSR Congress memorandum said.
