The event was held at Shahu Khasbag Kusti Akhada here, where, Yuddhaveer defeated his rival by four points.
Yuddhaveer received the cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and a 2 kg silver mace at the hands of Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan.
The competition was held to commemorate the centenary year celebrations of a wrestling ground constructed by Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj in 1912.
Kolhapur Shahar Zilla Rashtriya Talim Sangh and Rajya Kustigir Parishad had organised the event, in which, about 240 wrestlers from all over India participated.
Rohit Patel (Madhya Pradesh), Yuddhaveer (Sena Dal), Narendra (NCR) and Hitesh Kumar (NCR) were the semi finalists. PTI CORR NP
