Yuki achieves career-best rank of 125

Yuki Bhambri today achieved his career-best singles rank of 125, following an impressive title win at the ATP Shanghai Challenger.

Yuki, who aims to break into top-100 by the end of this season, is country's number one singles player as he jumped 20 places after earning 80 points from his win on Sunday.

Somdev, who lost in the first round of the same tournament, further slipped to 164, a steep fall of 12 places.

Saketh Myneni was the next best Indian on the ATP singles chart, placed at number 195, a gain of four places. He was followed by Ramkumar Ramanathan (218), who won ITF Futures singles title in Coimbatore on Sunday.
 

In the doubles, Rohan Bopanna continues to be India's highest-ranked player at number 13 and was followed by Leander Paes (33) and Purav Raja (95).

In the WTA rankings, Sania Mirza consolidated her world number one rank in doubles with her US Open triumph alongside Swiss partner Martina Hingis.

In the singles, Ankita Raina was top player of the country at 238.
