Media firm Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) today said its Chief Content and Creative Officer (CCCO) Bharat Ranga has resigned from the company after 16 years of service.

Ranga, whose last day would be October 7, has opted to explore new avenues. All verticals and functions at ZEEL who currently report to Ranga, will now report to its MD & CEO Punit Goenka, ZEEL said in a statement.

Commenting on the development, Goenka said: "Since 1998, Bharat has been an invaluable member of the ZEE family. During his career span with us, Bharat has contributed to the overall growth of the organisation by leveraging new revenue opportunities, bringing about path-breaking content, starting new streams of content through new channel launches and transcending the business beyond geographies, to name a few."

Bharat Ranga said: "I have turned 16 in the ZEE family this year and I am confident that all the values and experiences that ZEE has imparted will stand me in good stead."

Ranga had joined ZEEL in 1998 and held various positions from sales to business head to being the International Business Head and then the Chief Content and Creative Head of the organisation.
