Disney star Zendaya Coleman is reportedly set to play leading lady in "Spider-Man: Homecoming".
Zendaya is credited as Michelle, a non-comicbook character who is described as one of the classmates of Tom Holland's Peter Parker.
According to TheWrap, the "Shake It Up" star will actually play the long-time love interest of Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson.

Mary Jane was famously brought to life by Kirsten Dunst in the first "Spider-Man" trilogy starring Tobey Maguire as the titular hero.
The character was not included in "The Amazing Spider-Man" film series, since director Marc Webb wanted to focus on Parker's relationship with his high school girlfriend, Gwen Stacy.
In the upcoming solo film which is directed by Jon Watts from a script written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M Goldstein, Holland's Spider-Man will be back to his high-school roots.
The film also stars Robert Downey Jr, Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green and Martin Starr.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will release on July 7, 2017.
