Zensar Tech slumps nearly 9% on weak Q4 earnings

Shares of software services firm Zensar Technologies today slumped nearly 9 per cent after the company reported an 84.44 per cent fall in consolidated net profit for the March quarter.

The stock tanked 8.56 per cent to end at Rs 838.35 on the BSE. During the day, it plunged 11.18 per cent to Rs 814.25 -- its 52-week low.

At NSE, shares of the company dived 8.73 per cent to close at Rs 838.65.

The company's market valuation came down by Rs 352 crore to Rs 3,761.98 crore.

Mid-sized software services firm Zensar Technologies today reported an 84.44 per cent fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 10.73 crore for the March quarter.
 

The Pune-headquartered firm had posted a net profit of Rs 68.96 crore in the year-ago period.

Its total income from operations fell by 0.12 per cent to Rs 743.77 crore in January-March last fiscal, from Rs 744.71 crore in the same quarter of 2015-16.
