Prices of zinc and copper rose by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metals market today following increased demand from consuming industries amid a firm global trend.
Traders said sentiment bolstered as zinc led rebound in global markets, leading most metals higher, after Chinese government said it would take measures to shore up growth.
Meanwhile, zinc for delivery in three months rose 0.8 per cent to USD 2,026.50 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, zinc ingot and copper were up by Rs 2 each to Rs 120-126 and Rs 409 per kg respectively.
