Zinc futures declined 0.11 per cent to Rs 140.20 per kg today as participants reduced positions on weak cues from the global markets amid subdued demand in domestic spot markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in current month traded lower by 15 paise, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 140.20 per kg, with a business turnover of 126 lots.

The metal for delivery in October fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 140.85 per kg in a turnover of 16 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in zinc prices at futures trade was mostly in line with a weak trend in select base metals at the London Metal Exchange.
