Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices fell further by 0.65 per cent to Rs 174.80 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in reducing their holdings amid tepid demand from consuming industries at spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in current month fell by Rs 1.15, or 0.65 per cent, to Rs 174.80 per kg in business turnover of 457 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in January contracts was trading lower by a similar margin to Rs 175 per kg in 123 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants in view of low demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly kept zinc prices down at futures trade.
