Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures prices today fell 0.73 per cent to Rs 129.85 per kg as participants reduced their positions amid a weak trend at domestic spot markets due to subdued demand.

However, a firming trend in the base metals pack at the London Metal Exchange on strong US economic data, limited the fall.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in current month traded lower by 95 paise, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 129.85 per kg, with a business turnover of 362 lots.

The metal for delivery in January fell by 90 paise, or 0.69 per cent, to trade at Rs 130.05 per kg in a turnover of 55 lots.

Marketmen said the fall in zinc prices at futures trade was mostly in line with a weak trend at the spot markets due to subdued demand but metal's strength at the London Metal Exchange limited the downside.
