Zinc prices dropped 0.88 per cent to Rs 208.15 per kg in futures trading today after participants cut down bets, taking negative cues from spot markets on subdued demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April month fell by Rs 1.85, or 0.88 per cent to Rs 208.15 per kg in business turnover of 1,010 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in May was trading lower by Rs 1.80, or 0.85 per cent to Rs 208.90 per kg in 194 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders due to sluggish demand from consuming industries in physical markets, mainly put pressure on zinc prices at futures trade.
