Zinc futures edged up by 0.24% to Rs 126.95 per kg today as participants enlarged positions amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in current month up by 30 paise, or 0.24%, to Rs 126.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 179 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in March traded higher by 25 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 127.75 per kg in a turnover of 19 lots.
Traders said besides improved spot demand, a firming trend in the metal overseas, supported the upside in zinc prices at futures trade here.
