Speculators created positions amid positive cues from global market and better domestic demand

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures edged up by 0.28% to Rs 143.50 per kg today as speculators created positions amid positive cues from global market and better domestic demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery this month rose 40 paise or 0.28% to Rs 143.50 per kg with a business turnover of 225 lots.

The metal for delivery in May rose by a similar margin to trade at Rs 144 per kg with a business turnover of 28 lots.

Traders said apart from gains in base metals in global markets, pickup industrial demand at domestic spot markets, supported the upside in zinc prices at futures trade.
