Zinc futures fell 0.47% to Rs 105.65 per kg today as speculators cut their bets amid sluggish domestic demand and weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc prices for delivery in November eased by 50 paise, or 0.47%, to Rs 105.65 per kg in a business turnover of 601 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in December traded lower by 50 paise, or 0.47%, to Rs 106.75 per kg in six lots.
Analysts said the fall was due to slack domestic demand in the spot market amid a weak trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange amid concern that demand is weakening in China, the world's biggest user.
