Zinc prices eased by 0.13 per cent to Rs 199.40 per kg in futures trade Wednesday as speculators booked profits, driven by a fall in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in the current month traded lower by 25 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to quote at Rs 199.40 per kg in a business turnover of 7,560 lots.

Marketmen said, profit-booking by speculators at current levels mainly led to the fall in zinc prices here.
