Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc futures traded 0.71 per cent lower at Rs 182.20 per kg today after speculators trimmed positions amid a weak trend at the domestic spot markets due to low demand.

In futures trading at Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in current month declined Rs 1.30, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 182.20 per kg. It clocked a business turnover of 707 lots.

On similar lines, the metal for delivery in April softened by Rs 1.25, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 182.90 per kg in 353 lots.

Market analysts said weakness in zinc futures trade was mostly due to a falling trend in base metals at the domestic spot markets due to low demand.
