Zinc prices eased by 0.14 per cent to Rs 207.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets owing to a fall in demand at the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in November declined by 30 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 207.40 per kg, in a business turnover of 508 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in December was down by 15 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 206.65 per kg in one lot.

Market analysts said zinc prices slid due to offloading of positions by participants amid tepid demand at the domestic spot market.
