Supported by firm spot demand, zinc prices marginally up by 0.33 per cent to Rs 123.45 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in May inched up by 40 paise, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 123.45 per kg in business turnover of 431 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in June contract edged up by 30 paise, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 124.15 per kg in 15 lots.
Analysts said fresh position built-up by speculators after improvement in spot market demand mainly helped zinc prices to trade tad higher at futures trade.
