Amid muted spot demand and profit-booking by speculators, zinc prices fell 0.14 per cent to 125.05 per kg in futures trade today.

However, metals strength at the London Metal Exchange (LME), limited the losses.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in November declined 15 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 109.20 per kg in a business turnover of 33 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in October shed 5 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 108.20 per kg in 692 lots.

Analysts said weakness in zinc was mostly due to sluggish demand at spot markets and profit-booking by participants but metals strength at the LME restricted the losses.
