Zinc, nickel recover on renewed demand

Zinc and nickel prices recovered modestly at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists buying amidst renewed demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, copper prices also gained further owing to good demand from industries users.

While, tin, lead and brass prices fell due to weak demand from consuming industries.

Zinc pries regained by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 230 from Last Saturday's close Rs 222 and nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 830 as against Rs 825 previously.

Copper sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 355 as compared Last weekends level Rs 351 and copper utensils went up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 335 from Rs 332.
 

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture and copper wire bar edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 377, Rs 358 and Rs 405 as against Rs 375, Rs 356 and Rs 403 previously.

Copper scrap heavy inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 368.

However, tin prices slid by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,590 from weekend's closing level Rs 1,600.

Brass sheet cuttings declined by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 295 from Rs 300 Last Saturday and brass utensils scrap softened by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 290 from Rs 292.

Lead prices inched down by a Re per kg to Rs 136.
