Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices eased by 0.76 per cent to Rs 190.55 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their positions, taking weak cues from spot market on muted demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in February declined by Rs 1.45, or 0.76 per cent, to Rs 190.55 per kg in business turnover of 774 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in March contracts shed Rs 1.20, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 190.70 per kg in 67 lots.

Marketmen said weakness in metals at the domestic spot markets owing to slackened demand from consuming industries, mainly weighed on zinc prices at futures trade.
