Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices eased 0.16 per cent to Rs 213.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut bets, taking weak cues from the spot market on muted demand from consuming industries.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in February declined 35 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 213.20 per kg in a business turnover of 3 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in January contracts shed 30 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 213.50 per kg in 322 lots.

Marketmen said weakness in metals in domestic spot markets owing to slackened demand from consuming industries influenced zinc prices in futures trade.
