Zoe Saldana has revealed that she likes dressing up her children in leggings and quipped that is why they will not be able to board "that plane".

The 38-year-old actress said she does not force her choice of clothes on her two-year-old twins Bowie and Cy and her family often shops out of the female section if they run out of options from the boys department, reported People magazine.

"They just choose what they want to wear. My husband and I, we don't like to just stick to like the boys' section. And we like putting leggings on our sons, believe it or not. We're not going to be able to board that plane.

"But sometimes when we can't find something that we need, we'll go to the girls' section, and we like seeing our kids, our boys, in pastel, bright pink colours, and they like it as well," Saldana said.

The "Avatar" star recently became a mother for the third time to son Zen with husband Marco Perego in February this year.

Saldana's comment came after William Shatner, Patricia Arquette, Chrissy Teigen, Andy Richter and Sarah Silverman slammed United Airlines after it barred two girls from boarding a flight in leggings.
