Former Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga today said he would appeal to the Centre to upgrade the peace talks with the NDFB(P) from official level to political level.
This was necessary since officials dealing with the militant groups were delaying the progress of negotiations, Zoramthanga told PTI here over phone from New Delhi where he landed last night.
He said NDA government was more sincere in peace efforts with insurgent groups than the UPA regime, but the peace process was moving in a slow pace because of the delay by the entrusted officials.
