Shares of Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd today surged 20 per cent after the company reported nearly four-fold jump in its standalone net profit for the second quarter ended September.
The stock soared 20 per cent to settle at Rs 591.40 -- its 52-week high and upper circuit limit -- on BSE.
On NSE, shares of the company jumped 19.99 per cent to end at Rs 589.85.

Zuari Agro Chemicals today reported nearly four-fold jump in its standalone net profit to Rs 53.52 crore for the second quarter ended September.
Its net profit stood at Rs 13.39 crore in the year-ago period, the fertiliser company said in a BSE filing.
Total revenue rose to Rs 1,346.77 crore in the second quarter of 2017-18 fiscal from Rs 1,084.17 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
