Asserting that the globally acclaimed western classical music conductor Zubin Mehta's concert in Srinagar would go a long way in promoting cultural tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, NCP today said efforts would be made in future to arrange a similar concert in Jammu.

"Zubin Mehta music concert being held at Srinagar on September 7 would go a long way in promoting cultural tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. Efforts would be made to arrange a similar concert at Jammu in the coming time," former minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) state president Thakur Randhir Singh said in a statement here.

Zubin Mehta is a cultural ambassador who promotes music for harmony and this event at Srinagar should not be politicised in any way, Singh observed.
