It is also planning to have experience centres at major cities as Chennai, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai, where it would exhibit a range of its products.
"We are expecting to increase our business up to 40% (in value terms) in over 3 years. The Indian market is very dynamic. "Purpose of these centres is to exhibit a total lighting experience with clean technology... There is a gap in the local market (in terms of technology) and we can fill it up," he said.
The experience centre is backed by a team of lighting designers and professionals for providing solutions and installations.
Apart from commercial lighting, the company would also focus on residential market and offer solutions, but it would be only through b2b.
The lighting major has three brands in its portfolio - Thorn, Tridonic and Zumtobel and all are available in the Indian market, Lander said.
Zumtobel Group, which is present in India for the last 12 years already has a high profile portfolio in India with clients like Infosys, Cisco, Google, IBM, Goldman Sachs, Intuit, Chennai Metro, Chennai Metro and many others where it has provided LED based lighting solutions.
It imports entire line of products from Europe.
The company is also closely looking at the government's plan to develop 100 smart cities and may participate in the later stage.
"Presently we are not ready for it as we are looking for a right partner here. We are already working on some smart cities of the world. First we would find a right local partner and would provide technical support and then we may join at the middle stage," Lander said.
As on April 30, Zumtobel Group had a workforce of 7,234 employees with a revenue of 1,312.6 million euro in FY 2014-15.
