Asian Paints posted a 14.4 per cent fall in second-quarter profit on Monday, which missed analysts' estimates, hurt by higher expenses.
Net profit fell to Rs 4.93 billion ($67.02 million) in the September-quarter from Rs 5.76 billion a year earlier, the company said in the statement.
Analysts, on an average, had expected the Mumbai-based company to post a profit of Rs 5.78 billion, according to Refinitiv Eikon data.
Revenue from operations rose over 8.5% to Rs 46.39 billion while total expenses rose about 11% in the quarter.
