BRASILIA (Reuters) - Brazilian President Michel Temer said he expects China to be a major player in his country's plans to modernize its ports, airports and other infrastructure projects to be offered to investors in private concessions.

"China could be one of the big investors in our plans for concessions," Temer said in a video message released after he set off for Beijing on an official visit ahead of the BRICS summit in Xiamen. "We can bring more Chinese capital and thus accelerate the creation of jobs and improve the income of Brazilian workers."
