India's exports growth slows to 2.4 pct in August

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's annual merchandise exports growth slowed down to 2.35 percent in August, compared with a 7.3 percent year-on-year increase in July, government data showed on Monday.

Merchandise exports last month were $26.96 billion, data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry showed.

The trade deficit narrowed to $10.84 billion, from $12.23 billion in July.
