India's retail inflation eases to 3.31 percent in October

Reuters NEW DELHI

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's retail inflation rate eased to 3.31 percent in October from a year earlier, government data showed on Monday, helped by fall in food prices.

Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast October's annual increase in the consumer price index at 3.67 percent, compared with a downwardly revised 3.70 percent in September.
