NEW DELHI (Reuters) - India's trade deficit widened to $14.25 billion in September following a jump in oil and gold imports, government data showed on Tuesday.
The deficit stood at $10.84 billion in August.
Merchandise imports surged nearly 26 percent last month year-on-year to $43.2 billion. Exports, meanwhile, grew a tepid 2.73 percent on year to $28.9 billion.
