Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and Nifty on Monday hit their lowest level since Sept. 1.

Both indexes were tracking weak global stocks on anxiety about early Fed rate hikes and China factory output.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was down 0.72 percent while the broader Nifty was trading 0.65 percent lower as of 2:43 p.m.

Tata Consultancy Services fell 1.77 percent, while Housing Development Finance Corp was down 1.17 percent.

Traders said CPI and WPI data have had a limited impact.
