Wall Street down ahead of Fed meet, Greek debt woes

REUTERS - U.S. stocks opened lower on Tuesday as investors wait for hints on the timing of a potential rate increase after a two-day Federal Reserve meeting, and world markets brace for the possibility of Greece defaulting on its debt.

At 9:30 a.m. ET the Dow Jones industrial average was down 4.1 points, or 0.02 percent, at 17,787.07, the S&P 500 was down 0.95 points, or 0.05 percent, at 2,083.48 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 6.47 points, or 0.13 percent, at 5,023.50.
